Release: 1 February 2021
Colour of the Month: Jewelmist
From the maker:
“The light blue awareness ribbon is used for several meaningful causes in men’s health, childhood cancer and prostate cancer. We’ve chosen to make the February COTM donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. The PCFA promotes and funds prostate cancer research; implements awareness and education within the Australian community and health professionals; and supports men and their families who are affected by prostate cancer.”
$2 of each direct sale and $1 of each wholesale sale of this polish will be donated.
Jewelmist features a sheer light blue base filled with shimmer, blue and purple flakes, and a variety of iridescent and holographic glitters. The predominant shimmer shift appears to be purple/green. This polish layers up nicely for a complex finish.

Fiend-exclusive of the Month: Marrakesh
Marrakesh is a thermal that shifts between orange when warm and dark brown when cold, and it is accented with red and orange matte glitters. This is undoubtedly one of the most uniquely beautiful thermals I’ve ever worn! I think it captures the inspiration beautifully.
This polish isn’t easy to use though. The formula is quite sheer and difficult to apply in even coats. I layered up four coats, letting each coat dry well. Although each coat didn’t apply very evenly, the result wasn’t streaky as the layers dried down. As with any glitter-heavy polish I recommend at least two coats of top coat to smooth out the texture. It’s not easy to obtain the final result, but it is striking and lovely.
I also found this thermal to transition at a higher temperature than I normally associate with FF thermals (or thermals in general really). I normally wait for my hands to be at a cooler temperature to photograph thermals, but my hand had to be much warmer to photograph this polish’s transition. It’s not difficult to obtain (no uncomfortably hot water)–I just think if you normally are disappointed at thermals typically remaining in the warm state on you, you might be able to see more of the gradient effect with this one!
4 coats + 2 coats of top coat
The January 2021 COTM and FOTM will be available at 9am AEST on February 1.
