Tia has a lovely maker’s note for this collection:
“To sum up what has been quite possibly one of the craziest and most stressful years we have had in a long time, I wanted to create a collection that would bring some positivity and comfort into the early days 2021. This is why I chose to do a Winter Solstice inspired trio. The Winter Solstice celebrates the rebirth of the sun after the longest hours of darkness and is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal, & self reflection.”
Ice Crystal is a silver linear holo with red/green shimmer, pink/green shifting iridescent flakes, and UCC flakes. The linear holo effect is really pretty. There’s almost a metallic, kind of prismatic effect happening.

First Frost features a Barbie-esque pink base with a sparkling linear holo effect, red iridescent flakes, red/green shifting shimmer, and some additional holo flakes for extra sparkle. There’s something giving this polish an extra glistening look that does pull it into winter territory despite the not-wintry base shade. It’s very sparkly and much prettier on the nails than it appears in the bottle.
2 coats + top coat
Wintertide features an ocean blue jelly base with linear holo, holo flakes, and pink/green shifting shimmer and flakes. This polish has the same glistening effect as the others. The iridescent flakes are the least obtrusive in this polish, which makes it overall look the most cohesive. The formula is a bit sheerer than the other two, but it went on the smoothest and laid the flattest. This polish was the surprise favorite for me of the trio.
3 coats + top coat
The Winter Solstice trio releases on December 13 at 5pm Eastern time and will be available through December 19. Individual polishes are $12.50, and the trio is $35.
