A collection of dense shimmers in the style of Ethereal’s best-selling PPU polish Under the Sea
Luna Laguna
Luna Laguna features a lilac base loaded with red/gold/green shifting shimmer. It’s definitely purple-leaning in the bottle, but on my skintone and with all the red shimmer, the base color seemed to lean a little bit pink-ish. When viewed with the others the lilac tones are more evident but on its own it looks like a cool-leaning pink. So keep that in mind if you have medium warm skin like me.

Shell Phone
Shell Phone features a lovely petal pink base loaded with red/gold/green shifting shimmer. My struggles with light pinks are well-documented, but I do have a soft spot for how this one looks on me. The result is pleasantly delicate and feminine without making me look jaundiced.

Oceanic
Oceanic features an under-saturated spring green base loaded with red/gold/green shifting shimmer. The official description gives this color as blue-green, but to me it looks straight green. I was so surprised by how gorgeous this one is on the nails! It’s hard to explain, but the soft green really is exceptionally lovely when worn. Generally, I’m not a big fan of green, but this one really really surprised me.

Popsicle
Popsicle features a peachy orange base loaded with red/gold/green shifting shimmer. Another big surprise! These kinds of shades always make me nervous, since they tend to be massive hit or massive miss on my skin. This one turned out to be a massive hit! It’s the kind of shade that looks very orange on cool-toned skin, but it’s got the perfect hint of pink on my warm-toned skin. It’s the perfect peach shade on me. And of course the heavy dose of shimmer makes this whole situation feel like a glorious sunset on my nails.
2 coats + top coat
Ethereal’s signature super-shimmer finish is always beautiful. As usual with this kind of finish, you’ll want to take your time. Go in with thin coats and let each coat dry well for the most flawless final finish. As my nails were quite short when swatching this collection, I was able to get away with two coats despite the finish being sheer. I was happy with how two coats looked, but I imagine most people may need three.
The Under the Sea collection was originally slated for release August 14, but has been postponed to September 11.
