Bee’s Knees: A Lion with a Thorn in its Paw

BKL was inspired by Songbird from the Bioshock video games. A Lion with a Thorn in its Paw features a pale blue base with strong red/green shifting shimmer and holo flakes. The colors of this one are beautiful. The formula looks like it’d be sheer, but Sarah worked her inscrutable magic, and this one is an easy two-coater that covers fully while remaining light and airy. Magic.

Cupcake: Monarchy

Cupcake was inspired by monarch butterflies. Monarchy features a sheer grey base with a variety of purple/red/orange/green UCC flakes and scattered holo. Oftentimes, an inspiration is interpreted rather loosely, and the final result bears little visual resemblance to the inspiration. But with this one, I knew it was a monarch butterfly as soon as I unwrapped my bottle. Sara nailed the colors. Oddly, the base looks definitively grey in the bottle, but on my nails it looked to pull almost more brown? Greys can be so strange. The formula builds really well, so I recommend two thin coats for maximum flake visibility and to minimize final texture.

Dreamland: Sinai Rosefinch

Sinai Rosefinch features a bright pink jelly base with pink/orange shifting iridescent flakes and silver holo flakes. Very girly and feminine shade. I found two coats just covered my nail line, and I liked that it still had a delicate feel.

Femme Fatale: Golden Bird

Femme Fatale was inspired by a photo of bird feathers. Golden Bird features a plum purple base overlaid with strong reddish-copper/gold/green shifting shimmer and gold holo microglitter. The golden glitters add such a gorgeous sparkle to this warm shade. Two coats left a teensy bit of patchiness at the tips, so I just brushed a partial third coat for perfect coverage.

Moo Moo’s Signatures: Guilty Butterflies

Guilty Butterflies features a grass green base with gold/green shifting shimmer and a rainbow of UCC and iridescent flakes. The overall look is super reminiscent of a lush garden in full bloom, with butterflies landing on flowers of all different colors. Adorable shade.

Scofflaw: Stork Raven Mad

Stork Raven Mad features a sheer grey base loaded with glitters in white, black, and various blues, scattered holo, and blue shimmer flecks. Some of the glitters flash holo rainbows as well. The base is quite sheer and there is a lot of glitter, so it applies more like a glitter bomb than a glitter crelly. It applies well though and is easily opaque in two coats.
