Sophie was inspired by the cover art aesthetic of the Goosebumps book series! I recall these being technicolor, highly-saturated little works of art.
I was having a really hard time with thermals. Mainly, my hands were super cold for literally days on end, so it was both uncomfortable to swatch and I could not get the warm state to show. My usual trick of using a hair dryer was not helping. When my hands had a sudden warming up, I jumped on it and was able to get through the first three shades ok here, but they started cooling down again for the last two shades. I hope you can forgive the subpar transition photos, particularly for the last two shades.
The formulas are pretty similar across the board, with some being a little more opaque than others. For all five shades though, they apply easily for a glitter crelly (helped by the glitters being smaller), they dry down very flat and matte, and you’ll need two coats of top coat to smooth and gloss everything over.
Dead House
Dead House is a thermal that transitions between magenta and medium purple, accented with red glitters. The formula on this one was light, and I needed extra polish on the tips of my nails to reach opacity.
3 coats + 2 coats of top coat
Fever Swamp
Fever Swamp is a thermal that transitions between blue and indigo-purple, accented with yellow glitters. I really love the colors of this one. The cold state is one of those shades of purple that is tough for computers to properly show, but it is a cool-toned purple. The formula was similar to the above Dead House, although it had slightly better coverage at the tips.
3 coats + 2 coats of top coat
Living Dummy
Living Dummy is a thermal that transitions between red and green, accented with black glitters. The full warm state is a brighter green than shown in my photos. I was happy with the coverage on this one at just two coats.
2 coats + 2 coats of top coat
Monster Blood
Monster Blood is a thermal that transitions between bright lime green and a deeper grass green, accented with pale blue glitters that kind of look more white if you don’t look too closely. My hands were seriously cooling down at this point, and nothing was warming them up, so I’m sorry that these transition shots really aren’t very good at all. The transition isn’t the most obvious, but it’s definitely there and more distinct than in my photos. This one is cute in a Halloween kind of way, and it helps that in a way it’s got the tamest colors of the bunch, heh.
3 coats + 2 coats of top coat
Say Cheese!
Say Cheese! is a thermal that transitions between orange and yellow, accented with pink glitters. Apologies again for the poor transition photos. Cold hands again. This one is my favorite of the collection. My hands warmed up a bit after I took these photos, and the pink glitters pop so well against the warm yellow state! The colors remind me of sunset, with pink streaks in an orange sky. All the polishes applied smoothly, but I think this one was the smoothest.
3 coats + 2 coats of top coat
It’s really rare for FF to do a collection where every polish has the same finish like this, but what the collection lacks in finish diversity it more than makes up for in color diversity. I think it matches the aesthetics of the Goosebumps covers beautifully! I had hoped the glitters would be a bit chonkier, but the smaller ones like this both make the polish easier to apply and tame the bright color combinations down a bit for a more elegant look, so I can definitely appreciate the ultimate choice of smaller glitters!
The Monster Edition collection releases for preorder on March 1 at 9am AEST.

Living Dummy stands out for me. What an interesting colour combo, and those glitters go great with it.
