Release: 29 January 2021
10 polishes
Sarah was inspired by one of her favorite movies and TV shows, What We Do In The Shadows, for this month’s release.
All Jesk, No Gregor
All Jesk, No Gregor features a beautiful sky blue base with blue/indigo shifting shimmer. Lovely tranquil shade. The formula is a little bit sheer and streaky but nothing too difficult.
3 coats + top coat
Bat!
Bat! features a warm medium purple base with bright green/blue/purple shifting shimmer. The shimmer in this one is so bright and vibrant. Flawless formula that covers in two thin coats.
2 coats + top coat
Guillermo Buillermo
Guillermo Buillermo features a light grey base with strong purple shimmer. The shimmer in this one is very ghostly and elegant.
3 coats + top coat
One Human Alcohol Beer Please
One Human Alcohol Beer Please features a black base with strong sapphire blue shimmer. The shimmer is so stunning here. It’s a bit more of a microflake shimmer, and it glows out so intensely from the dark base, which builds to a true black in just two coats.
2 coats + top coat
Bloody Mary
Bloody Mary is a true red linear holo. Perfect two-coat formula. Best thing about this polish is it didn’t bleed color into my top coat at all, so I suspect it won’t be a stainer, or at least it won’t stain too badly.
2 coats + top coat
Superb Owl
Superb Owl is a indigo linear holo. The flame on this one is so strong. The color is like a dark gunmetal tinted a bit of a cool blue-purple. I think it is really elegant. I applied three coats but really only needed two.
2-3 coats + top coat
Operation Accidentally Kill the Baron
Operation Accidentally Kill the Baron is a strong silver linear holo. Not much to say about this one– it’s pretty classic. Two easy coats to opacity.
2 coats + top coat
I don’t live to drain, I drain to live
I don’t live to drain, I drain to live is a silver/green/blue/purple shifting multichrome. Very elegant colorway in a smooth formula that gets really close to opacity in two coats. I opted for a third for a perfect finish.
3 coats + top coat
Dark Greetings
Dark Greetings features a sheer dark base with a green/blue shifting magnetic effect and red/green shifting ghost flakes. I rushed a bit so the magnetic effect isn’t super crisp, but it’s easy to use just like any other BKL magnetic! I show it three coats on its own as well as one coat over black. I prefer the one coat over black because it’s faster and the iridescent components pop more strongly.
3 coats -or- 1 coat over black
Vampires Only
I’ve saved what I think is the most interesting shade for last! Vampires Only is a black/red shifting multichrome with a silver magnetic effect. This is definitely the most creative use of the black/red pigment yet! The silver pops beautifully against both the black and the red.
2 coats + top coat
