Can You Dig It?

Can You Dig It? features an orange base loaded with green/pink shifting shimmer. I really like this shade of orange, and I think it’ll best flatter medium to deep skin tones.

Flower Power

Flower Power features a berry jelly base overrun with red/gold/green shifting shimmer. You can only catch a hint of the berry color at the very edge. Overall it appears as a red, until the shimmer shifts. This is the same glowy finish as the Rain trio.

Granny Square

Granny Square features a cinnamon brown base with a strong green/blue/purple shifting shimmer. I just love this one! I love shimmery brown shades, and this shade of brown is warm and lovely.

Groovy Baby

Groovy Baby features a swamp green jelly base with red/green shifting iridescent flakes and shimmer. I really love this kind of shade on deep skin. The bright shimmer pops against the warm-toned base beautifully.

Peace & Love

Lastly, Peace & Love features a very greyed-out green crelly base loaded with pink/green/blue shifting iridescent flakes. This kind of flake is my favorite, the kind that doesn’t look crumpled in the polish. The polish is very beautiful, but I think it’s giving me slight lobster-claw hands. This polish might be better for cool skin tones.

This collection really surprised me. I usually associate Cupcake with bright, primary color palette shades. But a lot of these shades are more subdued or warm-toned, which was a lovely surprise, since I vastly prefer to wear these kinds of colors. I’m so happy with the inspiration and I think Cupcake did an amazing job incorporating 70s influence into their signature bright aesthetic. My favorites of this collection are the brown Granny Square and the pure flake Peace & Love.

The 70s collection releases October 19 at 7pm Central time.
