A collection inspired by the ancient or mythical
The Antiquity collection from Pahlish is bright and perfect for summer!
Alexandria
Alexandria is a violet-toned pink shimmer shade. It has quite an old school pearl-esque feel. So you will want to be mindful and deliberate while applying this polish. Manage the brushstrokes to minimize streaking. It’s not the most opaque formula, but you’ll definitely need thinner coats, so I advise going in with some patience.

Fountain of Youth
Fountain of Youth features a greyed-out blue base with blue shimmer. The shimmer appears to shift to violet in the bottle but there is minimal, if any, shift visible on the nails. Very moody and subdued shade. Formula is easier to manage than Alexandria and is reminiscent of the Hero of Hyrule collection.
I was feeling ambitious and managed to cover in two thicker coats. I’m sure three thinner coats would also do well.
2 coats + top coat
El Dorado
El Dorado features a yellow base loaded with gold flakes and iridescent flakes in mostly pink/green, although they definitely take a backseat to all the gold. Rich and opulent shade fitting of the inspiration. It applies evenly so you could do two coats for a more delicate look. I opted for three for fuller coverage.
3 coats + top coat
Pompeii
What else but a bright red for Pompeii? It features a red jelly base with gold flakes and iridescent flakes. I consider this one a sister to El Dorado. The red base is actually quite cool-toned, but all the gold flakes make it appear warmer. I applied in two coats so the cherry-toned base is more visible (and I think coverage is very good at two coats), but if you apply three it will appear to lean more orange. It applies very evenly so you even have the option of topping it over a cooler red if that suits your skintone better.
2 coats + top coat
Hanging Gardens
Hanging Gardens features the beloved gold flakes in a pinky peach base. The base color is not as bad on me as I assumed it would be from the bottle appearance, but it’s still not very suitable on my warm skin. I assume it would be much cuter on cooler skin. It has a lovely formula, so it could be applied in 1-2 coats for a sheerer, delicate look that I think would be beautiful if this kind of color suits you as a nude.
3 coats + top coat
Atlantis
And rounding out the collection is Atlantis, a gorgeous gold flake shade in a turquoise base. This color is quite difficult to photograph, and I still can’t quite decide where it falls on the green/blue spectrum. Rest assured it is absolutely beautiful though, and the formula is fantastic. It achieves full coverage in two coats while also allowing the flakies to layer and display a lot of depth.
