Femme Fatale: Rainbow Macaron

The next installment in FF’s Candy theme is this cute white crelly with a rainbow of pastel matte glitters and subtle holographic sparkle. I really wish the holo sparkle was a bit more apparent in these photos, because it really adds a sweet and cute finish. The formula is a bit tricky. I recommend going in with thin coats to reveal the glitters better, but you might need four coats to totally cover your VNL. I also stood the bottle upside down for a few minutes prior to application and also reshook a few times throughout application.

Kathleen & Co.: Volcanic Sky

Kathleen & Co. continues her nature series with Volcanic Sky, which features a deep navy base with an indigo/violet/red/gold multichrome effect and scattered holo microflakes. The overall effect is very beautiful and reflects a moody sky very well I think.

Lilypad: Sunset Symphony

Lilypad begins a new series inspired by magical images, and the first installation is Sunset Symphony, which features a sheer violet base loaded with pink/red/gold UCC flakes.

This polish is tricky to photograph, and I understand why the images for this polish seem a bit inconsistent between different swatchers. Nevertheless I have presented this polish how it appears to me.

The base is VERY sheer, and the opacity is entirely due to all the UCC flakes. Don’t panic after the first coat–I promise it will build up nicely! The formula is smooth although it is definitely on the thinner side. The red/pink of the flakes in the resting state glows through the purple base.
