A quad inspired by video game Animal Crossing

New Horizons

New Horizons features a blue-ish green-ish base packed with golden shimmer. I cannot decide what the base color is, but the overall effect is quite green due to the shimmer. The shimmer is so intense and glowy.

2 coats + top coat

Nook Inc.

Nook Inc. features a chocolate brown base with green/blue/purple shifting shimmer. I love shimmery brown shades, so I love this one. The shimmer in all its shifts complements the brown base really well! Formula is gorgeously smooth and buttery.

Dodo Airlines

Dodo Airlines features a teal green jelly base with a mix of iridescent flakes, predominantly in blue and pink with shifts to green. This one was hard to photograph. In person, the contrast between the greener base and the bluer flakes is more apparent. The official description of the base color as “tropical teal” is pretty spot on.

I found it to be ever-so-slightly patchy at two coats, so I added a third for a perfect finish.

Isabelle

And the newest addition to the gold flake family! Isabelle features a bright pink-violet base with crushed gold flake. The official description of the base color is “neon violet”. I was happy with coverage and color at two coats of polish, and I think on the nails it looked more pink and less violet. However, in the bottle, it definitely looks to lean more violet. I think another coat of polish would achieve the color in the bottle. Even at two coats there’s great depth and squishiness on the nails so I was perfectly happy to stop there.
