7 polishes
Cybercat Dreaming of Neon Mice
Cybercat Dreaming of Neon Mice has a medium grey base with an assortment of round matte glitters and small purple metallic glitters. There are some purple shimmer flecks in there too, but they don’t show up too well on the nail. The formula was easy to use.
2 coats + 2 coats of top coat
Existential Taxi Cab
Existential Taxi Cab has a bright yellow jelly base with green, copper, and pale blue glitters. The yellow shows up brighter on the nails than it does in the bottle. It has a very lovely formula. At two coats I could see a hint of VNL, but I liked how bright the yellow appears. I think if I had added another coat the green glitters would have muddled the yellow too much.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat
Ghost Snails Haunt Garden Paths
Ghost Snails Haunt Garden Paths features a very pale blue base with blue, purple, and silvery flecks. The overall look is kind of denim-esque. The formula was a little chunkier, but it is easier to manage with Scofflaw’s wider, paddle brush.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat
Love Letter to Ellen Ripley
Love Letter to Ellen Ripley features an undersaturated brown (that leans a little mauve) jelly base with blue-purple iridescent flecks. The formula was easy to work with.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat
Sharpen Your Horns – Gore Your Enemies
Sharpen Your Horns – Gore Your Enemies has a desaturated brick red creme base with various sizes of red glitter and some purple shimmer flecks that don’t show up too much on the nail. The base is quick thick, but it suspends the glitters well so they are nicely distributed.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat
The Spring Leaves Gossip About You
The Spring Leaves Gossip About You has a grass green creme base with blue flecks and shimmer as well as gold iridescent flakes. This shade of green is perfect for spring, and I really like the effect of the flakes. The formula is a bit thick but applies smoothly.
2 coats + 1 coat of top coat
This Princess Saves Dragons
This Princess Saves Dragons has a pale lavender base with glitters, flecks, and shimmers in shades of pink and purple. Again, it has a thicker base to keep all those elements suspended.
2 coats + 2 coats of top coat
My personal favorite of this collection is the one directly above. It has a very princess-like vibe without being terribly girly, and I adore the name. This Princess Saves Dragons indeed!
This collection stays very true to Scofflaw’s signature aesthetic of funky glitter mixes and imaginative names.
Scofflaw’s Spring 2020 collection will be available on April 24th.
